In-Person Private Session Rates

In Person Private Training and Behavior Counseling
A trainer typically meets you in person at your home. Sessions will be ~60 minutes with the exception of your first session which usually goes a bit longer (around 90 minutes). You will get assistance with troubleshooting unwanted behaviors as well as coaching on teaching your dog basic manners.
Sessions will address a variety of behaviors including but not limited to:
Basic manners for puppies and adult dogs including behavior cues “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “come”, “leave it”, and “drop-it” etc.

For clients committed to ongoing training, packages offer better value. Packages are ideal for behavior modification plans, reactivity work, and families looking for consistent coaching and support.

Online Virtual Training sessions
Enjoy training from the comfort of your home with a trainer verbally coaching you through exercises with face to face video. The first session will be a bit longer (around 90 minutes) and following sessions are 60 minutes. This can be quite effective for puppy training as distractions are at a minimum in your home and many of your young puppy’s training needs are in doors.
For puppies: discussions will include socialization, house training, chewing and nipping etc., and general puppy basics.
For adults: we cover basic manners and whatever behavioral issues you may be struggling with.
If your dog struggles with house guests we may advise meeting virtually for the first session so we can get through the behavioral intake and introducing some basic skills before meeting in person.
Train from anywhere with live, face-to-face coaching.
The first session runs approximately 90 minutes. Follow-ups are 60 minutes

One on one/Walk and Train
This is a one on one session with your dog and a trainer who will work on training either in your home, out on a walk, or in the park depending on your dog’s needs. Basic manners, leash walking, behavior modification and other skills are covered. This is not a replacement for lessons with a trainer coaching you and your family to train your dog. This requires meeting with the trainer for at least one session, and is best used in conjunction with regular private sessions. After the initial meeting with the trainer, it is the trainers discretion whether or not to move forward with this option. 30 minute and 60 minute sessions available for residents of NYC area including select areas of Brooklyn and Queens.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation is required 24 hours before a scheduled appointment or a fee, up to the cost of one session, may be incurred. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the trainer in the event of an emergency or illness etc.
Forms of Payment: We accept Zelle, Cash, or Checks (payable to Mike Preis Dog Training). Venmo and Paypal may be available on request.
